Marketplace accounts for Ludhiana knitwear
Our marketplace account management in Ludhiana runs the seller panels for knitwear and hosiery houses whose first trade is still wholesale. We work from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, and plan the panels around dealer bookings, the winter and the months after Lohri.

What the panels need from a knitwear house
- Marketplaces we run
- Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra and Ajio
- Panel stock
- Counted apart from dealer bookings
- Each autumn
- Last winter’s listings revived, not recreated
- Between winters
- Hosiery basics keep the account selling
- Claims to file
- Worn jackets, swapped sweaters, short sets
- How we work
- Remotely, through permissions you control
In short
- Marketplace account management in Ludhiana runs a knitwear house’s seller panels weekly, while stock, packing and dealer bookings stay with the house.
- Panel stock for winter should be counted apart from dealer bookings, so a late wholesale order cannot empty the sizes a listing still shows.
- A winter listing whose garment is unchanged should be revived each autumn rather than recreated, because its ratings and reviews stay with it.
- Socks, vests, innerwear and other hosiery basics keep a Ludhiana account selling between winters, though marketplaces often restrict returns on innerwear.
- We run Ludhiana accounts remotely from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, through user permissions; the owner login and bank details stay with the house.
Marketplace account management in Ludhiana is the weekly work inside a knitwear or hosiery house’s seller panels: listings, prices, stock by size, returns, claims and settlements. We run it from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, for houses whose first trade is still wholesale.
That last point shapes this page. The city’s season, fibres and listing copy are set out on our page about ecommerce services in Ludhiana; here we deal with the panels, and with what changes when one store room serves dealers and online buyers at once.
We run brands of our own as well, so a lapsed claim or an unread payout is a cost we recognise.
Which Ludhiana knitwear houses hand over accounts?
Three kinds of Ludhiana seller hand over their panels, and each arrives with a different backlog: knitwear houses that sell mainly to dealers, hosiery makers with everyday basics, and labels building a name on the fashion marketplaces.
- Wholesale-first knitwear houses. The accounts were opened to sell direct, then worked on between dealer visits. Listings go up late, sizes drift away from the store room, and last winter’s returns sit unclaimed.
- Hosiery makers. Socks, vests, innerwear and thermals sold in packs at value prices, where the margin on a pack can disappear into fees and one misread return rule. Our page on Meesho account management covers the value end.
- Knitwear labels. Houses putting their own name on cardigans, jackets and sweatshirts for Myntra and Ajio, where brand approval, style codes and on-model photographs come before the first sale.
The division of work is the same for all three. Production, stock, packing and your dealers stay with you. The panels move to us: listings, offers above the floor price you set, claims, settlements and the account’s health.
Can wholesale bookings and the panels share stock?
They can, if the panels hold an allocation by style and size that bookings cannot touch. Ludhiana knitwear is traditionally booked by dealers before the season, in cartons and size sets, while a listing sells one piece of one size at a time.

Without an allocation the two compete blind. A late booking takes whole size sets from the store room, the listing still shows those sizes, and the orders that follow turn into cancellations, which marketplaces count against account health.
| Compared on | Dealer bookings | Seller panels |
|---|---|---|
| Unit of sale | Cartons and size sets | One piece or one pack |
| When it sells | Booked before the cold | Through the winter, week by week |
| Price | Your dealer price list | Per piece, after commission and fees |
| Returns | As agreed with each dealer | Under each marketplace’s rules and windows |
| Money | On the terms you give the dealer | Settlements, net of fees and TCS |
Before the season we agree the allocation with you in a shared sheet, style by style and size by size, and someone at your end marks cartons as they leave for dealers.
Each listing’s stock is then set a little below its allocation, so a busy week on one marketplace cannot oversell another.
When a dealer’s reorder reaches into the panel stock, the decision stays yours. We show what each size has sold online and is still selling, so the choice between a dealer and a listing is made with the figures in front of you.
Price needs the same care. Dealers who sell your sweaters in their own shops can see your listings, so we agree an online floor that does not undercut them, and keep every offer and festive deal above it.
How do size sets become variation listings?
Each style becomes one listing, with every colour and size a variation carrying its own stock and its own SKU, the stock keeping unit code. Wholesale paperwork rarely works that way, so the first job is a master sheet built from your design numbers.
- Style codes taken from your design numbers and used the same way on every marketplace and in your stock sheet.
- Colour names chosen from each marketplace’s list and kept consistent, so one maroon is not burgundy on one panel and wine on another.
- Size values mapped to each marketplace’s own size list, with garment measurements behind every size and age bands for kids’ winterwear.
- Free-size pieces such as caps and mufflers listed with their dimensions, since there is no size for the buyer to choose.
- SKU codes that read style, colour and size in that order, so a returned piece can be matched to its variation at a glance.
Myntra and Ajio add brand approval and their own catalogue templates before any of this goes live, as our page on Myntra seller account management explains. The listing copy itself, fibre and warmth included, comes from our product listing services.
Track suits sit between knitwear and sportswear, and on the fashion marketplaces they need both apparel and sports details. Our page on marketplace accounts in Jalandhar covers how sportswear meets those templates.
What keeps a Ludhiana account selling between winters?
Hosiery does. Ludhiana’s hosiery trade makes everyday knits such as socks, vests and innerwear alongside its winterwear, and a few of those lines on the panels keep orders, returns and settlements moving through the months when sweaters stand still.
That matters for the routine as much as the revenue. An account that sells all year has its returns recorded, its claims filed and its settlements read every week, instead of every habit being started again from scratch each October.
Hosiery basics bring rules of their own to the panels:
- Returns on innerwear. Marketplaces often restrict returns on innerwear for hygiene reasons, and the terms differ by marketplace and category, so we read each one’s current policy before a line goes live.
- Packs. A pack of three vests or five pairs of socks declares its net quantity as a number of pieces or pairs, and its stock follows the loose pieces it is made from.
- Size charts. Vests and briefs by chest and waist, socks by shoe-size range, both measured on finished pieces rather than read off the band.
- Price per pack. Value prices leave little room after commission and freight, so each pack size is priced after fees and expected returns before it is listed.
Size charts, fabric details and clothing returns in general are covered on our page about how to sell clothes online in India.
Should winter listings be revived or recreated?
Revive them when the product is unchanged. A listing switched off at zero stock in spring keeps its ratings and reviews, while a new listing for the same sweater starts with none, and marketplaces discourage duplicate listings of one product in any case.
The rule cuts the other way too. If the yarn, the blend or the fit has changed, last winter’s reviews describe a different garment, so the style gets a new listing and the old one is retired rather than borrowed.
| Since last winter | What we do on the panel |
|---|---|
| Nothing changed: same style, same yarn | Revive the listing; check price, stock and fields |
| A new colour of the same style | Add it as a variation of the existing listing |
| A different fibre or blend | Create a new listing; retire the old one |
| A new fit or pattern | Create a new listing with a fresh size chart |
| The style is dropped | Close the listing once its returns are settled |
Every revived listing is checked in late summer, before its stock goes up: required fields against the marketplace’s current template, which can change between winters, the price against this year’s costs and fees, and the photographs against the colour actually in the cartons.
How are late-winter returns and claims handled?
Returns from the peak arrive while clearance is running, and each marketplace’s claim window keeps running through both. Whoever opens returns at your premises records each one as it is unpacked, and we file claims from that record before the windows close.

- Worn returns. A jacket or shawl used for a trip or an occasion and sent back with its tags refitted; the claim needs photographs of the piece and its tags at packing and on return.
- Swapped returns. An older or cheaper sweater sent back in place of yours; the style code on your label and a packing photograph show which piece left your premises.
- Short sets. A thermal set returned without its bottom, or a pack missing a pair, claimed against the packed count.
- Transit damage. A crushed parcel or a snagged knit, recorded on the video of the parcel being opened.
RTO, return to origin, needs a closer eye in winter than in summer. A cash-on-delivery parcel refused late in the season can reach you after the selling weeks are over, and then it waits for next winter.
We track refusals by pincode, so the pattern is in front of you when next season’s stock and offers are planned.
What should a winter’s settlements tell you?
They should tell you what each style earned after commission, fees, returns and claims, in time to plan next winter’s knitting. Payouts arrive in cycles through and after the season, so the reconciliation runs every month and the season closes in spring.
Every settlement line is matched to its order, refund, fee or deduction, each fee is checked against the marketplace’s current schedule for knitwear, and anything short goes back to the marketplace as a ticket that stays in the weekly report until it closes.
TCS, tax collected at source under GST, is withheld from each payout. Your accountant gets a monthly summary by marketplace, with the TCS credit shown on its own and marketplace sales kept apart from your dealer bills.
The closing report ranks each style by what it left after everything, and shows how its sizes sold. It goes to whoever plans next winter’s range, because Ludhiana’s units start that knitting in the warm months.
When should marketplace account management in Ludhiana start?
In the warm months, before any winter listing needs to go live. The first month is reading and fixing, which is far easier while the store room is quiet than in December, when every hour goes to orders and dealers.
- Access. You add us as a user on each marketplace from your own login; the owner login, the registered mobile and the bank details stay with you.
- The read. Listings, suppressed styles, open claims, unmatched payouts and last winter’s return reasons, written up as a list of what is broken.
- The rules. Floor prices, the panel allocation against bookings, who approves festive deals, and who at your premises records returns.
- The backlog. Claims still inside their windows first, then the listings to revive, then the hosiery lines that will sell through the summer.
After that the routine runs from Gandhi Nagar without visits: health checks every working day, a weekly report and call, and a monthly reconciliation. Photography stays with your photographer in Ludhiana, and packing with whoever packs today; we never handle stock.
Sponsored ads draw on the same allocation, so they stop on any size it can no longer cover; the season’s budget and targets are on our page about performance marketing in Ludhiana. The full scope is on our marketplace account management services page.
To start, send us your marketplaces, your styles and how much of this winter is already booked.
