What we collect through this site, why, and who receives it. How long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated16 Oct 2026

This policy explains what personal data Kavita Enterprises collects through kavitabrands.com, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We have written it to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

Who we are

Kavita Enterprises, trading as The Kavita Brands, is a sole proprietorship, GST-registered in Delhi (GSTIN 07CBUPK4786Q1ZD). Our office is at X-732-A, Gali No 7 & 8, Raghubarpura No 1, Gandhi Nagar, Chand Mohalla, New Delhi, Delhi 110031.

For your personal data, Kavita Enterprises is the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how it is used.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry. Each form asks only for what we need to reply. Every enquiry form asks for your name, your company and your email address, and most also ask for a phone number. Depending on the form, it may also ask for:

  • the part of our business the enquiry is for;
  • your monthly advertising spend;
  • the garment category, fabric, quantity and specification;
  • when you need the goods, and the delivery city;
  • whether you want private label;
  • your budget and timeline;
  • how you heard of us;
  • your message.

We use these details to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation if you ask for one, and to keep a record of what was asked and answered.

Sent with each form. An enquiry or a newsletter sign-up also carries:

  • from our server, the page you sent it from and, for an enquiry, the reference number we give it, such as KB-20261016-001464;
  • from this browser tab, the first page you visited on our site and the website that sent you there (both without the part of the address after a question mark), the campaign tags in the link that brought you, such as utm_source and utm_campaign, and the advertising click identifiers in that link, such as Google’s gclid and Meta’s fbclid;
  • from your browser, your choice about analytics and advertising tools.

The site keeps the campaign details in the tab as you move around it, whatever you chose on the cookie banner, and they reach us only when you send a form from that tab.

We keep them with your enquiry so we know which pages, searches and advertisements lead to enquiries.

Your consent record. The contact, rate-card and campaign forms carry a consent line, which you tick before sending. We save that you ticked it, the exact wording and the time.

Our other forms have no consent line: when you send one, you ask us to act on it, and we use what you send only for that.

Newsletter. The sign-up form asks only for your email address. We use it to tell you when we publish a new guide. To stop, reply “stop” to any of our emails, or write to us, and we remove you.

Protection against abuse. To limit repeated submissions from one connection, the site counts them under a keyed hash of your IP address: a code made from the address with a secret key.

The count lasts up to a day from your latest submission, is used for nothing else and is not stored with your enquiry. Our web host also keeps server logs, which include IP addresses, to run and protect its service.

What we do not collect. The site has no visitor accounts, no comments and no payments. Our calculators work entirely in your browser: nothing you type into them is sent to us or stored.

Who receives your data

Our own team reads enquiries to reply to them. Each enquiry is also emailed to the desk it concerns, with your answers, the page it was sent from, and the campaign details and click identifiers.

Our lead system. Kavita Enterprises manages enquiries in its lead system, the Kaelo Suite. Once it is connected to this site, it receives a copy of each enquiry:

  • your contact details and the form’s answers, including your message;
  • the campaign details and click identifiers;
  • the consent record;
  • the page it was sent from.

Newsletter sign-ups are never sent to it, and neither are your IP address and browser details.

Service providers handle data for us, under our instructions:

  • our web host, Hostinger, which stores the site and its database on servers in India;
  • our email services, which deliver our replies and the mail sent to our addresses.

Google and Meta receive data only if you allow analytics and advertising tools, as described below.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Analytics and advertising tools

We may use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to see which pages and advertisements lead to enquiries. None of them loads until you allow it.

  • Your first visit. When any of these tools is in use, a banner asks for your choice. Until you choose “Allow measurement”, none of them is loaded, and your browser makes no request to Google or Meta for them.
  • If you allow them, they set their own cookies and receive your page views. When you send an enquiry, the site reports it to them without your name, email address or phone number: Google Analytics receives an event with the enquiry’s reference number and the form it came from, Google Ads a conversion with the reference number, and Meta a “Lead” event with only the reference number. The site switches off the Meta Pixel’s automatic configuration.
  • Our lead system may also report a confirmed enquiry to Google or Meta from its server, matched by its reference number, to measure our advertising, but only if you allowed these tools.
  • If you decline, they are not loaded.
  • To change your choice at any time, use “Cookie choices” at the foot of the page. If you withdraw after allowing, the page reloads with the tools switched off.

Google and Meta process this data under their own privacy policies, and may do so outside India.

What is stored in your browser

  • Your cookie choice is stored in your browser (local storage), so we do not ask again on every page.
  • The campaign details described above are kept in this browser tab only (session storage) until the tab is closed. They are sent to us only if you send a form from that tab.
  • The site sets no cookies for visitors. Fonts and icons are served from our own site, not from a third party.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to reply, to carry out any order that follows and to meet our legal and tax duties, and then delete it.

The copies in our email and our lead system follow the same rule. Newsletter addresses are kept until you ask us to stop.

  • If your browser runs without JavaScript, the site keeps what you typed for ten minutes, to show it back to you after sending.
  • Once our lead system is connected, the connection keeps each enquiry it sends until the lead system confirms receipt. Its copy is blanked after seven days and removed after thirty.
  • Our backups hold the site’s database. They are replaced as newer backups are taken.

How we protect it

Enquiries are stored as private records, readable only by the people who manage the site. The site is served over HTTPS. Access to our lead system and our mailboxes is limited to the people who reply to enquiries.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask us:

  • for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we do with it;
  • to correct, complete or update it;
  • to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • to withdraw a consent you gave. Withdrawing does not affect what was done before you withdrew.

You may also name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

To use any of these rights, write to accounts@kavitabrands.com from the address you used, or use the details below. We reply as soon as we can, and within the time the law sets.

Children

Our services are for businesses. The site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new text here with a new date. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we tell you before it applies.
