In short
- Marketplace account management for a Kannauj attar house runs the seller panels weekly, from category documents to breakage claims, while the house keeps distilling.
- Fragrance listings can need documents before they go live, and a marketplace may ask how a perfume is classified for shipping.
- Shoppers spell attar several ways, so search terms on each listing should cover the spellings buyers type, within each marketplace’s rules.
- Leak and breakage claims succeed only with packing photographs and opening videos, filed inside each marketplace’s time limit.
- We run Kannauj sellers’ accounts remotely from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, through user permissions, and the owner login stays with the seller.
Our marketplace account management in Kannauj is for attar houses and perfume makers selling their own bottles on Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and Myntra, whose panels have become a second job nobody has time for. We run them weekly from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi.
A blocked listing in the weeks before Eid is a cost we understand from the seller’s side, because we run brands of our own as well.
Distilling, blending, bottling and dispatch stay with you in Kannauj; the panels, their documents, their claims and their settlements move to us.
The general routine is set out on our marketplace account management service page. What follows is the part that changes for perfume in glass, sold by a Kannauj house.
Getting fragrance listings approved and live
Fragrance is a category where listings can need paperwork before they go live. Depending on the marketplace and the product, that can mean approval for the category, label photographs, licence details and answers about how the product ships.
- Category approval. Some beauty and fragrance categories ask for documents before a new seller lists.
- Label photographs. The declarations on your bottle and box, which the listing must match: MRP, net quantity in millilitres, the maker’s or packer’s name and address and consumer care. The listing shows these apart from the month and year.
- Licence details. Where perfumes are treated as cosmetics, a marketplace may ask to see the manufacturing licence.
- Shipping classification. A marketplace may ask for a safety data sheet to decide whether a fragrance ships as a dangerous good.
We keep each document current in each panel, diary the renewals, and answer the questions from your papers. Your regulatory adviser decides which rules apply; we make sure every panel sees the same answer every time.
Attar, ittar and the words buyers type
Buyers search for attar in several spellings, and by flower names in English and Hindi. A listing that carries one spelling misses the buyers who type another, so the other spellings go wherever each marketplace allows them.

Titles carry the spelling most of your buyers use, the flower or blend, the volume and the bottle type. Other spellings and the Hindi names, gulab for rose and motia for jasmine, go into the search-term fields; our catalogue and listing work writes both.
Stuffing a title with every spelling invites suppression. We write one clean title per listing and watch over a season which spelling brings the clicks that turn into orders.
Bottle sizes, sample sets and variations
An attar usually sells in more than one size, and the account decides how those sizes sit together. Where a marketplace allows size as a variation, the sizes of one attar share a page, so its reviews gather in one place.
Different attars are different products. Rose and khus do not belong in one variation family to share ratings, and marketplaces act on families that group unlike products, so each scent keeps its own page.
Sample sets get listings of their own, with every vial named and the set’s net quantity declared on its pack. A set is counted as available only while each of its vials is.
Leaks, breakage and the claims that follow
Attar parcels fail through leaks and breakage, and every failed parcel becomes a refund unless a claim recovers it. Claims succeed on evidence from both ends of the bottle’s trip.

- Before it leaves. Your staff photograph each high-value parcel sealed, with the order number in view.
- When it comes back. They record the damaged return being opened, label in view, before anything is moved.
- Inside the time limit. We file the claim the same week, follow it, and appeal where a rejection ignores the evidence.
Each claim sits in the weekly report with its amount and status. Patterns go back to packing: if one bottle type leaks in summer, the brief for that bottle changes before the next hot spell.
Summer heat and delivery promises
From April to June parcels sit in hot vans, and attar seals are tested hardest.
The account side responds in two ways: delivery promises are kept realistic, so parcels are not rushed through longer routes, and leak claims in those months are watched by bottle type.
If one bottle or cap leaks more than others, the listings using it are paused until the packing brief changes, rather than collecting orders that arrive empty.
Opened bottles and the returns rules
Many marketplaces limit returns of opened fragrance for hygiene, and each marketplace writes and revises its own rule. Listings should say plainly what can be returned, in the words the marketplace’s own policy uses.
A return opened against the rule, or a different bottle sent back, becomes a claim. One that arrives within the rule is checked for a listing fault: a scent described one way and smelt another is worth fixing.
Small prices, fixed fees and combos
A small bottle pays the same per-order fees as a large one, so single vials at low prices can lose money after fees and freight. Every listing’s margin after fees is checked each month.
Combos earn where singles do not: three attars of one flower family, or a sample set beside a full bottle. A combo shows in stock only while every bottle in it is, and its pack declares its own net quantity.
Meesho suits value packs; Amazon and Flipkart carry searched single attars and gift boxes. Our pages on Meesho account management and Amazon account management cover each panel in depth.
Ramzan and Eid on the accounts
For a Kannauj house, Eid is an account problem before it is an advertising one. Listings, stock and delivery promises must be ready before Ramzan begins, because buying builds through the month and gifts must arrive before the day.
- Redate the plan. Eid moves earlier by the Gregorian calendar every year, so last year’s dates are wrong.
- List early. Gift boxes and the classic attars live, counted and photographed before Ramzan.
- Set honest promises. Handling times set so delivery lands before Eid, and rechecked in the last fortnight.
- Close the window. Gift listings paused once a parcel can no longer arrive in time.
In years when Eid falls near the marketplaces’ autumn sale events or near Diwali, stock has to cover both peaks, and the counts are planned together rather than one after the other.
Gift boxes, Myntra and Diwali on the panels
Gift boxes need listings that name every bottle, the box and its size, with photographs of the box opened and closed.
Where a panel offers gift messages and gift wrap, they are switched on, and invoices are handled so the price does not travel in the box.
Myntra sells beauty and fragrance after category approval, and it suits a house whose bottles and boxes are made to be looked at. Its image standards are stricter than the generalists’, so gift boxes are photographed to its template before they are offered.
Diwali brings the gift boxes back after Eid, often to different buyers. The same boxes may need new photographs and titles that speak to Diwali, with stock counted for both peaks where they fall close together.
Reviews, scent words and borrowed names
Fragrance reviews are personal, so the useful ones are the ones that repeat: too strong, too faint, not like rose, leaked. We read them weekly by product, and a repeated word changes the listing’s description or the packing brief.
No review is ever paid for, traded or rewarded, which the marketplaces forbid. Replies, where a panel allows them, stick to the scent, the base oil or the return route.
Other sellers sometimes use the Kannauj name on products that do not qualify for it. Where your own listings sit beside them, yours describe the house, the method and the base honestly, and clear misuse of your brand is reported with your documents.
Trade buyers who find you on the panels
Perfumers and shops sometimes find a Kannauj house through its marketplace listings and then ask for bulk. Those enquiries are passed to you the day they arrive.
Bulk oil is sold by quotation, with a tax invoice carrying the buyer’s GSTIN, not through a retail listing, and keeping it off the panels keeps the retail figures honest.
Settlements, TCS and the money side
Each settlement is read line by line against the orders, refunds and fees behind it, with TCS, the tax collected at source under GST, noted for your accountant.
Fragrance adds checks of its own: refunds issued for breakage that should have been claimed, and fees charged on returns the rules did not allow.
Anything short goes to the marketplace as a ticket and stays on our list until it is paid or answered, and the TCS summary goes to your accountant each month.
Running Kannauj accounts from Gandhi Nagar
The first month is reading and agreeing.
Logins you create for us on each panel are the only access we need, and the owner login, registered mobile and bank details never leave you. We start by listing blocked listings, missing documents, open claims and unmatched payouts.
Then we agree floor prices, who approves offers, the stock schedule and who photographs packed parcels, and clear the backlog in order of the money involved.
After that the rhythm is a daily look at each panel, a report and call every week, and a review each month.
GST at 18% is added to our fee as its own line, and platform commissions and ad spend are paid to the platforms. For everything else we do in the city, see ecommerce services in Kannauj. To start, tell us which panels need help.
