Ecommerce calculators for sellers
Four ecommerce calculators for sellers, each built around one decision: what to spend on ads, which box to ship in, which GST rate applies and what RTO costs. Each shows its formula and its assumptions.

One question each, worked out as you type
Break-even ROAS calculator
Find the ROAS, ACoS and ad spend per order at which advertising stops paying, from price, GST, fees, shipping and returns.
Volumetric weight calculator
Work out a parcel’s volumetric and chargeable weight from its size, and the box volume that keeps billing at its actual weight.
GST calculator for garments
GST on readymade garments by the piece: the 5% or 18% rate, GST in or out of the price, and the split.
RTO cost calculator
What returned cash-on-delivery orders cost a month, what each delivered order carries for them, and what a lower RTO rate saves.
In short
- The four free calculators work out break-even ROAS, volumetric weight, GST on garments by the piece and the monthly cost of RTO.
- Each calculator runs in the browser, sets out its formula and states its assumptions; nothing typed into it is sent or stored.
- The results are estimates for planning, not tax advice, and GST rates are given as they stand at the time of writing.
These ecommerce calculators for sellers do the sums we work through every week on the accounts we run, and put them where you can check them. Each takes a few figures from your own reports and shows the result as you type.
What each calculator works out
Each calculator answers one question that decides a margin:
- The break-even ROAS calculator finds the most you can spend on ads to win an order, and the ROAS and ACoS that match.
- The volumetric weight calculator gives the weight a courier bills for a box, and the box size that keeps it at the actual weight.
- The GST calculator for garments applies the 5% or 18% rate by the piece, with the CGST, SGST or IGST split.
- The RTO cost calculator shows what refused cash-on-delivery orders cost a month, and what a lower RTO rate would save.
How sellers use the calculators together
The four feed each other. The shipping cost from the volumetric weight calculator and the cost of each return from the RTO cost calculator are inputs to break-even ROAS, so work through them in that order.

The GST calculator sits beside them for anyone selling or buying garments: it tells you which rate a price falls under before you print it on a tag or a quotation.
How the figures are worked out
Every calculator page sets out its formula, a worked illustration in round figures and the assumptions behind it. The arithmetic runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent to us or stored, unless you choose to send an enquiry.

The results are estimates for planning, not tax or legal advice. GST rates are given as they stand at the time of writing, so confirm the treatment of your own products with your tax adviser.
We run brands of our own as well, and these are the checks we make before spending on a product.
If you would rather have them made on your accounts, our ecommerce and digital marketing desks do this work for clients. The garments desk quotes wholesale lots with GST on its own line.
