In short
- Performance marketing services in Bengaluru plan ad spend for D2C brands from contribution margin, so growth targets and investor reports rest on kept orders.
- After a funding round, ad budgets should still start from a break-even line, with a capped learning budget for questions the brand needs answered.
- New-customer acquisition cost, and how long repeat orders take to repay it, decide how much a brand can afford to pay for a first order.
- Holdout tests, such as pausing brand search or switching a channel off in comparable regions, show which sales a channel adds rather than merely claims.
- Kavita Enterprises plans Bengaluru ad budgets remotely from New Delhi, beside an in-house growth team or running the campaigns itself; media spend is billed separately.
Performance marketing services in Bengaluru usually start with a funded D2C brand that has grown on Meta and Google and now has to explain that growth to its board. We plan targets, budgets and tests for such brands remotely, from Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi.
Explaining growth is harder than buying it. Each platform reports its own sales, an investor asks what a customer costs, and finance asks why the dashboards add up to more than the bank. The plan has to answer all three from one set of numbers.
We run brands of our own as well, and for them we decide before spending what an order is worth and when we stop. That is the discipline we bring to a Bengaluru account: an operator, not an agency.
What changes after a Bengaluru brand raises money?
The pressure to spend arrives with the money. A round is often raised on a growth plan, and the quickest way to show growth is to raise ad budgets, so the plan has to say which spend buys revenue and which buys answers.

Revenue spend is held to a break-even line from your margin model, the most an order can pay in ads without losing money. Learning spend gets a capped budget and written questions, such as whether a new category finds buyers at an acceptable cost.
When the learning budget is spent, we report what was learned, even when the answer is that a channel should not be funded. A board update that says so plainly is worth more than one that reports spend as progress.
The plan also states the cash each month’s ads will take, alongside stock and payroll, so the budget range is one the runway can carry rather than one the dashboard can justify.
Our performance marketing services page covers the margin model and the stop rules in full; here we cover how they meet a Bengaluru brand’s board, team and calendar.
How do we work with your growth team?
Funded Bengaluru brands often have a growth or performance lead in-house, and we fit around that person rather than replacing them. Two arrangements work: we plan and pace while your team runs the campaigns, or we run them as well.
In the first, your team keeps the ad accounts day to day and we own the targets, the budget range, the test calendar and the weekly report. In the second, our Google Ads management and Meta Ads management run the campaigns to the same plan.
Either way, the weekly report is agreed with the founder and the analyst before the first week runs, so the headline number, the definitions and the reconciliation method are settled once, not argued about every Monday.
Creators, a creative studio or a freelance editor often work on the ads too. The plan gives each of them the test question and the formats needed, so their work arrives as a test with a decision attached, not content judged on taste.
Which targets suit Bengaluru’s main categories?
Targets follow each category’s returns, repeat buying and freight, so a skincare brand and a fitness-equipment brand in the same city end up with different break-even lines and different patience for a first order.
- Skincare and haircare. Reorders can repay a thinner first order, but only where your own cohort data shows the second order arriving.
- Supplements. Claims are restricted, so creative takes longer to find a winner, and the test budget allows for ads rejected in review.
- Activewear and sleepwear. Size returns cut kept revenue, so targets are set on orders kept after returns, and the size chart is fixed before spend rises.
- Fitness equipment. Bulky freight and transit damage come out of every order, and few buyers reorder, so the first order has to pay for itself.
- Labels from export houses. Strong on product but new to Indian buyers, so early budgets go on finding which styles and price points sell here before any target is tightened.
Fitness brands have their own page on how to sell fitness products online, which covers freight, damage and size charts in more detail.
How should budgets follow the Karnataka calendar?
By holding money back for the peaks and testing creative before them. Auction prices rise as Dasara and Deepavali approach and the marketplaces’ festive events open, so ads enter those weeks already proven, with budgets raised in steps beforehand.

Varamahalakshmi and Ganesha Chaturthi come first, in August and September, and suit ethnic wear, silk and gifting brands. For a skincare or activewear brand they are often better used to test creative than to spend heavily.
Kannada Rajyotsava on 1 November suits creative made for Karnataka audiences more than discounts, and its results are read apart from the festive sales around it. After Deepavali we cut back early, because festive returns land later and belong in the result.
Sankranti, with the marketplaces’ Republic Day events, and Ugadi in spring are smaller peaks; we use them to test offers for the autumn.
Our guide to festive sale planning walks through the preparation; the plan itself sets the dates, the budget held back and the stop rules for each Bengaluru peak.
Does Bengaluru demand differ from other states?
Often, for a brand whose first customers were local. Cost per new customer, refusals and returns can all differ between Bengaluru, the rest of Karnataka and other states, and one national budget hides the difference.
We read cost per new customer and RTO by state each month, and hold separate budget lines where the gap justifies it. RTO, return to origin, is a parcel refused or undeliverable, and it weighs more where cash on delivery is common.
Creative in Kannada for audiences across Karnataka, or in Tamil and Telugu for the neighbouring states, gets its own line so its results can be read. Each version needs a native writer on your side to write or check it.
How can you tell which channel adds sales?
By switching it off, or holding it back, for a measured part of the market and comparing sales. Attribution shows which ads sat near a sale; only a test shows which sales would have happened anyway, which is the question an investor is asking.
For Bengaluru brands the usual candidates are a brand search pause, a regional holdout between comparable states, and Meta lift testing where your account offers it. Each costs some sales while it runs, so we propose one only when its answer would move the budget.
Clean purchase data comes first. Meta’s Conversions API sends purchase events from your server as well as the browser, and our conversion tracking setup checks those events against real orders before a test is read.
When does the plan switch spend off?
When continuing would cost more than it earns, under rules agreed before launch. Three do most of the work for Bengaluru brands: a size running short in activewear, a storefront change that breaks purchase tracking, and a campaign below break-even after its review period.
The second is commoner than it sounds. A new app or theme update on a growing Shopify store can stop purchases recording, or record them twice, and automated bidding then learns from the wrong numbers until someone notices.
Every stop is reported in the same week, naming the rule behind it and what has to change before spend resumes; restarts come back in steps.
What goes into the board update?
What the money bought, in numbers finance will recognise. We write the marketing section from the weekly report: contribution after ad spend, new-customer acquisition cost, payback on repeat orders, and MER, the marketing efficiency ratio of total revenue to total marketing spend.
Every figure is reconciled with storefront and marketplace orders after cancellations, returns and RTO, so it matches what finance reports. Where a figure is still an estimate because returns are pending, the update says so.
Payback is read by monthly cohort: the customers won in one month, and how much of their acquisition cost their later orders have repaid. A cohort that repays slowly is a reason to look at the product or the offer, not only the ads.
The ROAS, ACoS and TACoS guide sets out how the platforms’ own ratios relate to these, for board members who meet all of them in one deck.
What does the first month involve?
Reading, then agreeing. We gather product costs, settlement reports, a storefront order export and read access to every ad account, rebuild what each channel has earned after returns, and draft the margin model with your finance lead.
The media plan follows: targets per channel, the monthly budget range, stop rules, the test calendar and the peaks held for. Once you approve it, the first weekly report goes out and pacing starts against Bengaluru’s calendar rather than a generic national one.
From you we need one decision-maker for budget changes, usually the founder or whoever leads growth, and early word of launches, price changes and stock delays, because the plan can only pace what it knows about.
How do we plan Bengaluru budgets from Delhi?
On calls, shared documents and read access to your accounts, which is all ad planning needs. We work from our one office, in Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, and a Bengaluru budget needs nothing that a call and account access cannot give.
If the campaigns themselves need rebuilding, see our page on Google Ads management in Bengaluru; our Bengaluru page covers storefronts, marketplaces and the rest.
To begin, send us your cost sheet, your channels and last quarter’s spend, and the reply will list the questions that come before any target.
