Private label garments for Hyderabad brands

We are a private label clothing supplier for Hyderabad brands: Eid and festive kurta sets, everyday basics for the city’s online-first labels, and the embellished pieces in between. Samples are raised in Delhi, partner units make the lot, and your transporter takes it to Hyderabad.

In short

  • Hyderabad brands can have kurta sets and everyday clothing made under their own label through partner units, with samples raised in Delhi.
  • Because Ramzan moves earlier each year, a Hyderabad Eid collection’s private label plan has to be redrawn every year from that year’s dates.
  • A kurta printed to look like ikat should be sold as an ikat print, since Pochampally Ikat is a registered Geographical Indication for handwoven fabric.
  • Embellished Eid pieces need their zari, mirror or embroidery work approved on a sample of the actual fabric before the lot is made.
  • Clothing supplied from Delhi to Telangana generally carries IGST on its own line, which a registered Hyderabad brand can claim as input tax credit.

As a private label clothing supplier for Hyderabad brands, we develop kurta sets, festive wear and everyday basics under your label in Delhi, where samples are raised and partner units make the garments. You approve from Hyderabad, and the lot travels south with your transporter.

Hyderabad’s labels come from two directions: ethnic and festive labels rooted in the old city’s trade around Charminar, and online-first brands started by the city’s technology workforce. Both can use private label, for different garments and on different calendars.

What Hyderabad brands put under their label

Hyderabad brands usually put two kinds of garment under private label. Ethnic labels want kurta sets, festive kurtis, men’s kurtas and children’s sets for Eid, weddings and Telangana’s festivals; online-first brands want T-shirts, shirts, co-ords and loungewear that reorder steadily.

The two run on different clocks. An Eid collection is built for one date and sells in the month before it; a basics range is built to repeat, so its specification matters more than its launch.

Each Hyderabad style goes to a partner unit that already makes its construction: a unit for embellished kurta sets is not the unit for jersey T-shirts. Where none of ours suits a style, you hear so before sampling, not after a round that proves it.

Planning an Eid collection on a moving date

Plan an Eid collection from this year’s dates, not last year’s. Ramzan follows the lunar calendar and moves earlier each year, so a private label plan that worked last season lands late this season unless its sampling and production dates move with it.

Count the plan backwards from the first day of Ramzan:

  • Stock in Hyderabad. Listed and photographed before Ramzan begins, because demand builds through the month as the markets around Charminar stay open late.
  • Before that, the final check. The lot checked against the pre-production sample, packed and handed to your transporter in Delhi.
  • Before that, bulk production. At the partner unit, once you approve the pre-production sample with real labels and trims.
  • First, colour and work. Fabric and shade on lab dips, and any zari, mirror or embroidery approved on a sample.

Eid al-Adha follows about two months after Eid al-Fitr and brings another occasion for new clothes. A capsule held back from the first lot, or a repeat of its fastest-selling style, can serve it without a new development.

Keep Eid greetings off the woven label. A greeting printed on a removable card or on the polybag lets unsold pieces carry into the wedding season without looking dated. Our page on women’s ethnic wear covers how kurta sets are specified.

Men’s Eid kurtas, and Eid’s moving season

Men’s kurtas, kurta pyjama sets and pathani suits are the other half of a Hyderabad Eid collection, often bought for fathers and sons together. Specify kurta length, collar, placket and buttons for each style, and size boys’ sets by age band to match.

Eid also moves through the seasons over the years. A light cotton that suits an Eid in the hottest months feels thin when the festival falls in the cooler months, so revisit the fabric whenever the date changes season, not only the colour.

A family buying matching kurtas wants the shade identical across a father’s and a son’s sizes. That means one dye batch across the size run, and a shade check between the adult and children’s bundles before the lot is packed.

Zari, mirror work and embroidery, approved first

Approve an Eid set’s embellishment on a sample of the actual fabric before bulk. Zari, mirror work and embroidery behave differently on a light georgette than on a cotton silk, and a design that sits well on screen can pucker or scratch.

  • Placement. Measured from a fixed point such as the neckline or the hem, with a tolerance, so every piece carries the work in the same place.
  • Density and weight. Heavy work on a light fabric drags and puckers; the sample shows how much the fabric will carry.
  • Hand or machine. Stated on the specification and the listing, since many Hyderabad buyers can tell the difference at a glance.
  • Lining and backing. So the work does not scratch on a garment worn through a long Eid day of visits.

Zari work is part of the old city’s own trade, and some Hyderabad labels keep their heaviest pieces with local karigars while the lighter festive range goes to private label. The signature pieces stay in Hyderabad; the volume follows a written specification.

Ikat prints and the Pochampally name

Telangana’s handloom, Pochampally ikat above all, can inspire the prints on a Hyderabad label’s kurtas. A print that imitates ikat is still a print: call it an ikat print or ikat-inspired, and keep the Pochampally name for handwoven fabric that carries it.

Pochampally Ikat is a registered Geographical Indication, and so are Gadwal and Narayanpet sarees. If a range mixes handloom pieces from Telangana’s weavers with private label kurtas from Delhi, keep the two clearly apart on the hangtag and in the listing.

For the print itself, approve a strike-off on the actual base fabric: colour, scale and how the motif repeats across a kurta’s panels. Ikat-style motifs are often large, and a repeat that breaks awkwardly at the side seam shows in every photograph.

Basics for Hyderabad’s online-first brands

Hyderabad’s technology workforce has brought online-first brands selling T-shirts, shirts, co-ords and loungewear, and those reorder on a steady rhythm rather than a festival date. For them, private label is about holding a specification: the same fabric, fit and shade, lot after lot.

Many of these brands began on a storefront and Instagram and later add Amazon, Flipkart or Myntra; a specification written once serves every one of those listings, and every reorder behind them.

The city’s hot summer shapes those specifications. Cotton and linen-look fabrics in light weights, the GSM recorded, and a wash test on the sample for shrinkage keep a summer basic from coming back after its first wash.

For a T-shirt or shirt core, see men’s shirts and T-shirts; for how the city’s online brands run storefronts and marketplaces, see our page on ecommerce services in Hyderabad.

Bonalu, Bathukamma and the wedding season

Beyond Eid, a Hyderabad label’s year runs through Bonalu in July or August, Bathukamma and Dasara in the autumn, Diwali, and the wedding season from November to February. Sarees carry much of Bonalu and Bathukamma; kurta sets and kidswear for the family sell around them.

The wedding season is where Eid’s strongest styles get a second life. A kurta set that sold through at Eid can be repeated in wedding colours from the same specification, with a new lab dip and the same fit, without a fresh round of development.

Children’s sets matter at every one of these dates and are sized by age band, not by scaled-down adult charts; our kidswear page covers how. The festive and gifting page covers the marketplace sale events that sit over these dates.

GST on a heavily worked Eid set

Each kurta set is taxed on its own sale value: under the GST rates for readymade garments in force from 22 Sep 2025, 5% up to ₹ 2,500 a piece and 18% above, at the time of writing, which matters for heavily worked Eid pieces.

Embellishment, lining and a dupatta can carry a festive set across that line. Price a capsule with both rates in view; the quotation shows which rate applies to each style, on its own line, before you commit.

A lot sent from Delhi into Telangana is an inter-state sale, billed with IGST in most cases; a Hyderabad brand registered for GST sets that IGST off as input tax credit. Freight is quoted apart from both, as “Freight to be confirmed”.

Approvals from Hyderabad, handover in Delhi

Approvals come from Hyderabad in writing. Samples, lab dips, embellishment samples and label proofs reach you with photographs and a measurement sheet, and nobody needs to travel; our only office is in Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi, and the work runs remotely.

Name one approver for an Eid collection. A family label where several relatives comment on every sample loses a round each time they disagree, and Ramzan does not wait for the extra round.

Before handover, the lot is checked against the approved pre-production sample for measurements, shade, embellishment placement and labels, then packed to your instructions. It goes to your transporter in Delhi with the tax invoice and the packing list.

Labels and declarations for a Hyderabad label

Woven labels, care labels and hangtags are proofed against your artwork, and nothing is stitched in until you approve the proofs. A brand name woven in English, Urdu or Telugu script is your choice; the care and size labels should stay readable to every buyer.

Families often buy Eid clothes for everyone in one order, so a hangtag that shows the size plainly, and a size label that matches it, saves an exchange when the parcel is opened at home.

Selling the collection on marketplaces brings the Legal Metrology rules in: MRP, net quantity, the packer’s or manufacturer’s name and address and the month and year on every pack, with the listing showing all of it but the month and year.

How a Hyderabad label starts

Start with one collection and one date: the Eid you are aiming at, or the basics you reorder most, with a reference garment, quantities by size and your label artwork. Our note on a first private label order lists what to decide before sampling.

Briefs come in through our contact page; if you want indicative numbers first, request the rate card. Our private label clothing page sets out the whole service, from specification to handover.

Questions

Questions Hyderabad labels ask about private label

Can I get private label kurta sets for my Eid collection?
Yes, through partner units, with samples raised in Delhi and approved by you from Hyderabad. Plan from this year’s Ramzan dates, because the month moves earlier each year and the lot must be in Hyderabad before it begins.
When should I start my Eid private label order?
Well before Ramzan, working back from the date stock must be in Hyderabad: lab dips, any embellishment, production, checks and transit all come first. We date each step on the quotation, with what it depends on.
Can I call my printed kurta Pochampally ikat?
No. Pochampally Ikat is a registered Geographical Indication for the handwoven fabric, so a printed imitation should be sold as an ikat print or ikat-inspired. Keep the Pochampally name for handwoven pieces that carry it.
Can you add zari or mirror work to private label kurtas?
Yes, where a partner unit does that work: we raise a sample on the actual fabric, and you approve placement, density and finish before bulk. Say on the specification and the listing whether the work is by hand or machine.
Is IGST charged on clothing sent from Delhi to Hyderabad?
Usually: a supply from Delhi into Telangana is inter-state, so IGST is shown on its own line and a registered brand can claim it as input tax credit. At the time of writing, a garment up to ₹ 2,500 a piece carries 5% GST and one above it 18%. Check the treatment with your advisor.
Who actually stitches my private label garments?
Partner units that already make your kind of garment; we do not own a factory or a production line. We write the specification, run the samples, source the labels and check the finished lot before it leaves Delhi.
Can my basics range be reordered to the same specification?
Yes. The counter sample, the dated specification and your label references are kept, each reorder is briefed from them, and the new lot’s shade is compared with the counter sample before packing.
Can I approve samples from Hyderabad?
Yes. Samples, lab dips and label proofs are sent to you with photographs and a measurement sheet, and you approve in writing; nobody needs to travel to Delhi.
